Thrall by Jennifer Quintenz from the series Daughters of Lilith is a typical book about good and evil. In this case we have demon hunters (good) and demons (evil).
The main character is a girl called Braedyn who learns all in one day that there are indeed lilitu (an ancient race of enticing demons that prey on human souls) roaming the earth, that she was adopted and that she herself is a lilitu.
She decides to go against her own kind, because of the terrible things they do to people and join the guard with her dad. Braedyn falls in love with a boy called Lucas who moved in next door, is part of the guard and hates lilitu. Braedyn’s true nature is kept secret from Lucas, so the question is, what would he do if he finds out that the girl he’s fallen for is what he hates most?
Lilitu threaten to bring the wall down between the lilitu- and human word and it’s up to the Guard to find out how they plan to do it, in time to stop them. Will the lilitu succeed or would the guard stop them in time?
It was one of the greatest books I have read in a long time. It is packed full of romance for the romance fans, it also has some action for action fans and most important of all, it has a good amount of fantasy!
This book was really a page turner, and I found that I was literally begging myself to just read one more page (which turned out to be the whole book). Believe me when I tell you that you really need to read this one, you will not regret it.
What I disliked most about this book was that Braedyn blames her father for not telling her the truth even known it is clear that her father only wanted her to lead a normal life for as long as she could. Even though I dislike this, it is suitable for some teenagers to react this way and therefore I have to give the writer some credit.
Thrall has a great story line and it is written so good that I would have believed it to be a true story if I didn’t know any better and that is what makes this book that great. It pulls you in, and it demands of you to feel everything the characters do.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes fantasy books and even if you don’t, you should still read it. This book will take you to war, and it will capture you in the world of romance at the same time so please do me and yourself a favor and go read this book now!
This book was properly edited and therefore I rate it 4 out of 5 stars. The thing that I liked most about this book is how realistic the characters were and the fact that Braedyn decides to be good instead of turning against all of humanity even when her life depends on it.

I have always found books about demons and other similar mythical beings to be incredibly interesting, and this one sounds great! I’ll definitely have to check it out!

Is this a Young Adult book? It sounds good, no matter what and I think I’ll have to check it out. I love a good romance/action story and you seem to have been quite captivated by this one. Thanks for the recommendation.
